Balancing Sun and Moon with Hidden Keys – commissioned painting in situ

Why we blog

Things have been busy here, hence the reason for my infrequent blog posts lately.  As artists we sometimes live in a vacuum, working in solitary for much of the time. And though social media is no substitution for real world connection, I would be remiss if I said I didn’t enjoy my family of friends here on wordpress. So for those of you who are reading this, thank you for being here, I love reading your feedback and am always grateful for your support! Plus I enjoy seeing what you are up to, because you inspire me!!!!

Balancing Sun and Moon

Okay, so this latest abstract painting might look a little familiar, that’s because it’s a larger version of one I had painted back in 2016. A local business owner wanted one in a larger size. We also added some hidden keys in the painting as her counseling practice is themed around keys. Who knew there were so many fascinating types of skeleton keys??!!! She has a fabulously comfortable office space here in Sonoma County, CA., and I’m enjoying working with her.

Painting in Progress (Video)

Hope these painting videos helped give you an inside look into the process.

Be kind, take some time to take care of you and don’t forget to love & nurture yourself, there’s plenty to go around!

Goof for you Deb! Love the energy of your powerful colors.
I was drained of energy, so, I’m just enjoying watching how you are moving ahead which is great!

Hey Inese, you cross my mind quite frequently these days, when you do, I always send you some good vibes and energy. It’s a very difficult time, but you get through it… The loss never leaves, but does get a little easier with time. Sending you much love.
