Welcome to my World

Welcome to my World – latest painting

blue and brown textured spiritual acrylic painting by Deb Breton
“Welcome to my World” An abstract, textured painting by Deb Breton. Measures 7.5 x 9.75 on mdf panel board. Close your eyes and follow the rhythmic ebb and flow of your breath. Slow down this crazy world of maya and go inside to discover other worlds inside of you. A place where there is connection, calm and contentment. Namaste’

One of my latest pieces using texture and symbolism. Welcome to my World was born of a spiritual ‘feeling’ and have to admit, I didn’t always know what the hell I was doing, it all just sort of happened. Much like the late Wayne Dyer would say: ” when you are inspired, you are ‘in spirit’ “. And with some of the crazy stuff going on in the world these days, meditating or ‘going inside’ has almost become a necessity!

Many, many layers of texture and color went into making this piece. It seems the camera sensor never quite captures a paintings ‘depth’ as much as seeing it in person! Hopefully the photo gives ‘some’ sense of what is going on under all those layers. When the light hits this one it seems to glow and that was the effect I was going for.

This art piece is made from texture compound (joint compound) on a substrate of untreated, sealed mdf board. Recently framed and available here.

Wishing you calm, connection and contentment…

Have a peace filled, happy day!

I love the many little stars that make the plants seem so large. The planetary overlay makes me think of endless worlds out there, some that might even be in a parallel dimension. Fabulous!

Yes, Maryellen! I was ‘feeling’ parallel universes too.. Thanks for your feedback, much appreciated!

This is indeed gorgeous, Deb! Loving the colors, composition, texture, and the ethereal feel to this piece. When I go bigger, I may just triple prime Masonite and use joint compound! Acid free, right? Good on you for going inside to deal with all of this madness. I need to get back to yoga and meditation. Thanks for sharing your lovely work with us!

HI Laura, thanks for stopping by AND the feedback!! Yes, the board is untreated, but sealed just in case because I want it to LAST FOREVER 🙂 As for meditating, even a little alternate nostril breathing can bring calm in the most hectic of times. Have an awesome day!

You know Chandra what you can’t see are the details of the texture in this one, wish it was more apparent – they always look better in person, don’t they?! Thanks!

    1. Deb

      Wow, it certainly does Chandra!

And as I’m looking at the post again–I see I commented. Haha! Maybe, a latent memory of your artwork is the reason I was drawn to the orbs. 😀
