Ziggy Dog Painting and Video

Welcome to my first video –  painting of my dog

Okay, so a couple days ago I was talking about the Lyra Aquacolors and how excited I was to receive them in less than 24 hours after purchasing online! After posting the article about them I was really encouraged by Karen Gadient’s response about how well she liked these heavily pigmented water soluble crayons. Well, I took them out for a test drive today and KAREN WAS RIGHT, they are incredible and wow, what a lot of fun too!!

I decided I was going to take a video of the test drive but for some reason only half the video was recorded. Bummer. So I took a picture and attached it so you could see the outcome. This was a really quick test drive (probably about an hour) but I was really happy with these crayons and feel confident that they were a good buy. I would like to try the Caran d’Ache crayons just to compare, but that will have to wait.

Final Painting with Lyra Aquacolor Sticks – Isn’t Ziggy adorable?!

With such a cute dog, I was feeling inspired.

Thanks for looking and have a great weekend!

Paint On!

PS – thank you Karen 🙂

Loved the video, Deb! Glad you’re enjoying the Lyras as much as I do–they’re super pigmented and a lot of fun to work with. Is that a Talenti jar you’re using for water? That’s what I’ve currently got on my desk (in my case, the flavor was ‘Roman Raspberry Sorbetto’), holding water for the ink drawing I’m working on. 😀 Have a great weekend!

They are a lot of fun, I like the heavy pigment load, very rich – now I’m wishing I would have bought the larger assortment of colors!
Not sure why the photo came out so yellow, but the predominant color is a light tan!

Haahaahaa – why YES, yes it is a Talenti jar! Salted Caramel! Can’t wait to see your next ink project! You have a great weekend too!
