Effervescence – FEELING FESTIVE

Another in the Effervescence Series, in this one I feel like we’re finally turning the corner in 2020. There is hope and light at the end of the tunnel! The others in the series have a more distressed feeling in them and it’s by design to give us a feel of what we’ve been through. In the previous paintings we can see something in the distance, not quite able to distinguish what it is, but something lies ahead. With this one, we seem to feel a little better. We are keeping ourselves positive, but always aware of what we just came through. Perhaps we’re all the better for it – who knows for sure?

This painting takes on brighter colors and hues, but still with drips, bubbles and droplets. In fact this painting has been in the works since 2018. It’s only been recently that it talked to me, begging to be part of this series.

Colors: teal, purple, orange, pink and blue

Measures 20 x 20″ x.75” acrylic, ink and texture on stretched canvas.

Signed on front left and en verso. Painting continues onto the sides, can be hung with, or without a frame.
