Yin Yang Symbol – Taijitu – Spiritual Art Painting

This was painted with the feeling that these days, especially, we all could use more balance in our lives. This symbol reminds me of that.

The yin yang symbol is from traditional Taoism originally, but it has become known as the symbol that means balance. There is light in the dark and dark in the light. The universe is made up of all of these contrasts. Examples include: night (Yin) and day (Yang), female (Yin) and male (Yang). The yin-yang is the idea that opposites are needed in order for harmony to exist. They are opposites, but they are both equal and needed.

Finding Balance is a mixed media oil and acrylic painting on stretched canvas. The painting continues onto the sides, so it can be hung without a frame.
